King’s Lodge School pupils celebrate China Week with MP

Pupils from King’s Lodge School celebrated ‘China Week’ with an assembly showcasing their learning, attended by Chippenham MP Duncan Hames, on Friday 18th February.

The King’s Lodge pupils spent the week learning about many aspects of Chinese culture, including storytelling and new year’s traditions, as well as trying their hands at Chinese calligraphy and language. Wiltshire Scrapstore also visited the school during the week and helped pupils to create a large Chinese dragon and a lion out of scrap materials.

Duncan said, “I was delighted to visit the school and see the brilliant work that the children have been doing. I was very impressed by their creativity and level of knowledge of Chinese culture.”
